<description>This song carried me from class-to-class my entire freshman year at Auburn. No matter what kind of day I was having, the mood I happened to be in or the personal trials I would sometimes bring with me onto campus, once I popped my headphones in and this songs&#039; infectious whistling began, my spirits lifted and I would wear a friendlier expression.

I can remember forcing friends and acquaintances to give it a listen when the album was released. Their response afterward was always the same: they loved it as well. I became further intrigued by the band due to this.

The infectious message that Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros convey to their listeners in this track, along with the rest of the full length LP, that delivers twelve other feel-good songs which prove to be equally as charming as this single. The success lies within the simplicity in their lyricism. All of the band&#039;s songs are fantastically composed in a way that accompanies catchy, melodic instrumentation with vocals that allow a fan insight into the lives of those who create the music. It is comforting to hear a singer croon about similar emotions that we either are experiencing with a partner now or once knew. Even more so, I don&#039;t know many people who can help but jam along to music that celebrates the rewards and exhilaration and uncertainty and ecstasy of positive relationships that seem to give us purpose and help us feel whole.

My father hails from Alabama and my mother is from a small town in Arkansas. One night at dinner I put this record on and my mom started crying. She informed us that they were tears of happiness because being married 20+ years to the same man is a gift that she regretfully forgets to mention all too often.

It is obvious the verses that Alexander and Jade use to shower one another in are colored with endearing sentiments and romantic flattery that any person who has ever felt the joy of unfailing compassion and true love before can easily relate to.

However, the narrative towards the center of this track is what takes it to the next level in my opinion. The two singers recount such a unique story with impressively convincing dialogue. It is easily one of the best love songs written in a long while.

Ps- Here is a clip of the band performing on Letterman. You can totally see how in love they truly are. The energy in this video is infectious. What a great band!
